Doohamlet Community Centre is a not-for-profit community run facility. Our voluntary Board of Directors and Committee are supported by dedicated and hard working staff, supported and funded through a range of employment programmes.

Gwen Murphy
Centre Manager

We are thrilled to introduce Gwen as our new manager, who started with us in April 2024. Originally from County Louth, Gwen has been a resident of Doohamlet for over 10 years. Over the past few years, she has become a dedicated volunteer, demonstrating a deep passion for our community and bringing people togther. Gwen also serves as the chairperson of the local women's group, Doohamlet Bluebells.
With a background in retail management and over 15 years of experience, Gwen brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to our team. She also has a creative eye and loves to bring a homely feel to our centre. We are excited to have her on board and are confident that under her leadership, our social enterprise will continue to grow and thrive.


Brigid Anne Finnegan
Development Officer

We're excited to introduce you to Brigid Anne Finnegan! Brigid Anne has been an integral part of our community centre for many years and took on the role of Development Officer in 2023, supported by the Job Initiative Programme.
Brigid Anne is known for her dedication and willingness to go above and beyond to help others. She has extensive experience working for Family Careers Ireland, demonstrating her naturally caring and supportive nature.
In her role as Development Officer, Brigid Anne is here to assist you in starting up your new group and to provide support in any way she can. We are confident that her expertise and enthusiasm will be invaluable to you.



Fiona Mulligan
Support Worker

We're pleased to introduce you to Fiona Mulligan! Fiona joined our team in October 2023, taking on her role as Accounts and Admin Support through the TUS Programme. Her organizational skills are second to none, and she’s always one step ahead. Although her primary responsibilities involve accounts and administration, Fiona also has a fantastic eye for room setup and presentation. Along with her outstanding people skills, she has become a vital part of our team.
As of the 7th of October 2024, Fiona transitioned from the TUS Programme to the CSP Programme, now serving as our Support Worker. We are delighted to have her in a more permanent position, as she is a tremendous asset to our centre.
Fiona is dedicated to ensuring everything runs smoothly and efficiently, always keeping things above board. We truly couldn't operate the way we do without her invaluable contributions.

John Doran
Chairperson Voluntary
Introducing John Doran, John is the Director of Doohamlet Community & Resource Centre CLG. As well as the committee Chairperson for our centre. John, along with his committee, provides tremendous support to the centre and the community. He holds monthly meetings where he and the dedicated committee and centre team make crucial decisions on how to continuously bring the best opportunities to our community.
John has a wealth of experience in leading community projects. As a former Chairperson of O'Neill's GFC, he oversaw many projects including the development of new training pitches. He is also a long-term member and current Chairperson of Doohamlet's Group Water Scheme.
John has been a significant part of our centre’s journey, especially during its recent development. His passion for our biodiversity community garden drives him to constantly seek new projects to enhance both the garden and the centre.
With his deep knowledge of Doohamlet, we dare you to challenge John on the history of our beloved community! His commitment and enthusiasm are evident in everything he does, making him an invaluable asset to us all.
